| ¡¡¡¡During the 5 years of Han dynasty¡¡ancestor £¨202 B.c.£©, Liubang dispatched the general Chenying to pacificate the Jiang Nan ( another parlance : the person is Guanyin who pacificated the Jiang Nan . According to the research by Zhao Yushi in the Song dynasty ,this person should be Tangyi marquess --Chen Ying but not the Ying Yin marquess Guanyin). During the 6 years of Han dynasty¡¡ancestor £¨201 B.c.£©,the emperor command all the counties need to build city .Thus ,two new cities appeared in Yichun area .One is Yichun city ,the other is Jiancheng city .The name of Yichun was from a spring in west city that was described as ¡°The summer is cool ,the winter is warm ,nice as the spring ,so comfy for drinking¡±.The name of the Jiangcheng was from the word : ¡°build city¡± .At the beginning ,Yichun dominated the Yuan river area ,including current Yuanzhou district ,Xinyu city ,Pingxiang city and a part of Zhangshu city .In the First year of Da Kang (280 A.D.) ,Jin dynasty ,the emperor Si Mayan destroyed the Wu dynasty and changed the name of Yichun to Yiyang since the Yichun name is same as the empress Zhang Chunhua¡¯s name (She is Si Mayan¡¯s grandma and Si Mayi¡¯s wife). Till the 18th year of Kai Huang ,Sui dynasty(598 A.D.) renamed Yichun . At that time ,Jiancheng dominated Jin river drainage area ,including Gao¡¯an city , Shanggao county ,Yifeng county , Wanzai county and part of the Zhangshu city .The Jiancheng also was changed the name to Gao¡¯an in the 5th year wu de ,Tang dynasty(622 A.D.) since it¡¯s name same as the prince Li Jiancheng .Named it ¡°Gao¡¯an¡± because it¡¯s landform is high and safe. During the 6 years of Yuanguang in west Han dynasty¡¡£¨129 B.c.£©, the emperor Han Wu accredited Liu Cheng who is the son of Changsha Ding king --- Liu Fa as the king of the Yichun . In the 2th year of Yuan Shuo ,West Han dynasty (127 B.C.),he accredited Liucheng¡¯s brother Liu Shi as the king of Jiancheng .Liu Cheng built the Yichun Platform while Liu Shi built Jinsha Platform at the place about 1 km from Jiancheng .The two platforms are the famous scenic spots at that time . nowadays ,the Yichun platform is existent ,but the Jinsha platform was already dilapidated . In the 2nd year of Yuan Ding (115 B.C.),Liu Shi was exempted ,the Jiancheng country was canceled . In the 5th year of Yuan Ding (112 B.C.),Liucheng was exempted ,the Yichun country was canceled .¡¡
¡¡¡¡At that time ,Qin dynasty divided the country into 36 counties ,current Yichun belonged to the Jiujiang county .In the Han dynasty ,it belonged to the Yuzhang county (center is current Nanchang) .In the time of Three Kingdoms of Wu Baoding , Yichun belonged to An¡¯cheng county .The Wu dynasty setup An¡¯cheng county in the 2nd year ,Bao Ding (B.C.267) and was canceled after Sui dynasty unify the country .In the 18th year of Kai Huang(598 A.D.) ,the government setuped the Yuanzhou ,the center setuped in Yichun .The name of Yuanzhou¡¡was from the Yuan mountain ,the name of Yuan mountain was from the famous scholar Yuan Jing lived there .At that time ,the Yuanzhou dominated Yichun ,Pingxiang ,Xinyu three counties ,then the Wanzai county was merged in the 8th year of Kai Bao ,Song dynasty(975 A.D.) ,but the Xinyu was resected to Linjiang county in the 3rd year of Chunhua ,Song dynasty (992 A.D.) ,in the back of 900 years ,Yuanzhou dominated?4 counties (Yichun ,Pingxiang ,Wanzai ,Fenyi) all along . In the Yichun history , the first provincial government is Yuanzhou ,the second is Jinzhou ,then is Linjiang .The Jinzhou was setup in the 5th year of Wude ,Tang dynasty (622 A.D.) ,the center is current Gao¡¯an . Afterward ,it changed as Mizhou due to producing rice?,then ,changed as Junzhou due to producing the bamboo?and canceled in the the 8th year of Wu (625 A.D.) .In the 10th year of Baoda ,South Tang dynasty ,renamed as Junzhou .Till the 1st year of Baoqing ,Song dynasty changed as Ruizhou due to it¡¯s name same as the new emperor¡¯s name Zhao Jun .As to the reason that used the new name Ruizhou .Ruizhou dominated three counties (Gao¡¯an ,Shanggao ,Xinchang(current Yifeng)).In the 2nd year of Sheng Yuan,South Tang dynasty(938 A.D.) ,divided the Gao¡¯an and Xinjing two counties to Qingjiang county of Xiaotan town(current Linjiang town) .In the 3rd year of Chun Hua ,Song dynasty (992 A.D.),setuped the Linjing Yun(changed to Linjiang Lu in Yuan dynasty ,to Linjiang Fu in Ming dynasty).The area was equal to current Zhangshu city ,Xingan county ,Xiajiang county ,Yushui district of Xinyu city .In the Ming and Qing dynasty ,the Fengxin ,Jin¡¯an Fengcheng ,Tonggu belonged to Nanchang .The Yichun dominated 4 counties (Yuanzhou ,Ruizhou ,Linjiang ,Nanchang).
¡¡¡¡At the beginning of the Republic Of China ,the province was removed , the county ascribed to the Dao . On oct. of 1913, Jiangxi was devided into 4 Dao : east of Gan ,west of Gan?,south of Gan , north of Gan .The west of Gan center was seted up in Yichun ,including 21 counties . West of Gan was changed name to Luling Dao on June of 1914 . The center was transferred to Ji¡¯an in 1916 . All counties belonged to its province .
¡¡¡¡On Oct. of 1932, Jingxi province had 13 districts and changed frequently later?. There are 9 districts in 1943 . The first district¡¯ s commissioner office setted up in Fengcheng county administer?counties including :Fengcheng ,Xinjian ,Nanchang ,Jinxian ,Gao¡¯an ,Qingjiang ,Xinjing .The second district commissioner office set up in Yichun county ,adiministers 9 countried : Yichun ,Pingxiang ,Wanzai ,Tonggu ,Xiushui ,Yifeng ,Shanggao ,Xinyu ,Fengyi .The Fengxin and Jing¡¯an belongs to ninth district (Zhiwuning) ,this status last till liberation in 1949 .
¡¡¡¡The People's Liberation Army started ¡°the Xiang and Gan battle¡± on July 1949 .The Yuanzhou branch of Jingxi people¡¯s government has built in Nanchang in on 10th July , setted up in Yichun on 20th July .The yuanzhou district merged into Nanchang district on September 1952 .On December 1958 ,the Nanchang commissioner office transtered to Yichun and rename as Yichun commissioner office ,administer Yichun m Pingxiang ,Fenyi ,Xinyu ,Qingjiang ,Fengcheng ,Wanzai ,Tonggu ,Yifeng ,Shanggao ,Gao¡¯an ,Fengxin ,Jin¡¯an ,Nanchang ,Xinjian ,Anyi ,Jinxian total 17 counties ,then the Nanchang ,Xinjian ,Jinxian ,Pingxiang ,Xinyu ,Fenyi ,An¡¯yi lined out one after another .Yichun upgraded to District from county in 1979 ,then combine the Yifeng county in 1985 .Fengcheng county and Qingjiang county upgraded to district in 1988 and the Qingjing changed the name as Zhangshu .Gao¡¯an counry upgraded to district in 1993 .Thus ,Yichun administer 4 districts and 6 counties .Yichun district changed to Yichun city on 22nd May ,2000 approved by Ministries and Commissions Directly under the State Council .Upgrade the Yichun canton to Yuanzhou district .Thus ,Yichun newly administer Yuanzhou ,Fengxin ,Jin¡¯an ,Yifeng ,Shanggao ,Tongfu ,Wanzai and Fengcheng ,Zhangshu ,Gao¡¯an ,total 1 district ,6 counties and 3 cities .
