Water area is 63,944 hectare which ,the river area is 20,400 hectare , lake area is 600 hectare , reservoir area is 22,800 hectare , pond area is 27,600 hectare and unusable area is 100,100 hectare .

Wherein, the rice soil area is 487,200 hectare (including ridge of field) ,which covers 27.33% of the whole soil area . The biggest one is red soil among the 10 types soil ,which is 11,813,000 sqkm . It covers 64.24% of the whole soil area .The rest ?are : black limesoil , yellow soil , brown soil , moist soil , new unused soil , red adhibit soil , meadow soil , purple soil and so on .

　　Red Soil is the most broad and biggest territorial area .Yichun? red soil covers 55.8% of Jiangxi Province . Yichun’s red soil proportion excess 8.44% than the average soil of the whole province . 　　Yichun is also a land flowing with ancient tree. There are 30 subjects , 56 categories and 76 kinds of ancient tree and 9126 pieces in total . The first class tree has 846 pcs , second class tree has 2119 pcs , third clas tree has 6161 pcs . Ancient tree covey is 473 cov.eys and 3691 pcs.?

Among them , 3 entries belong to province level natural protect areas. 12 entries belong to county level natural protect areas. The total protected area is 78.9 thousand hectares . The growth plants has bamboo , fir, pinaster, loblolly, swamp pine, Japan cedar, pond pine, metasequoia, oak,alder,lotus,maple,poplar, paulownia and so on. ?The wildness plants mainly has TaiWan pine , camphor, BoLe Tree ,DuYing, ChongYang tree , quandong, palm wood , yew, TianC，NanLingK, baywood, southeast robur , hemp robur , maple, maple poplar, Yellow camphor, red Nan tree , azedarach, tupelo, magpie tree,XiangD, QingS, elm, stink bug,? southward Yew , yellowwood, hackberry, holly etc.

The mainly ones are gingkgo, cannikin, thick plain,red fennel, cinnamon, Female fennel, gutta-percha tree , honey locust, amboyna, hibiscus,xinYi, kyat flower , Wu Chia , bindwood, dogwood, vermilion root , privet, Luo Stone , beautyberry, medlar Gu , hook rattan, honeysuckle, sheep hoof and so on .?

　　Animal resource is various in Yichun .According to the approximate estamite , there are about 1300 types in total .Thereinto ?, about 355 types and subspecies are known ,occupy 57.07% of the 622 types of Jiangxi province .There are 11 types rank as infrequent type ,53 types as the state key protective type ,5 types as the class 1 protection type,48 type as class 2 protection type,59 type as province class protection type .

Aves : there are 243 types aves in total and subspecies .As state class protection types has white shoulder vulture ,white neck and long tail pheasant ,black crest cuckoo ,goshawk ,red paunch eagle ,pine eagle ,magpie snipe ,xianbase Dong ,white xian ,mandarin duck total 33 types .
Amphibian ,there are Giant salamander ,Tiger veins froggy ,Hoptoad ,Black speckle frog ,Chinese forest frog ,Thorn bosom frog .The Giant salamander from Jingan coutry has very high value for edible and study ,belongs to infrequent type .It is one of the bigest amphibian in the world .National government had set up ?a nature protection zone which has 100 hektare in the Jing’an county ,It includes the only one department in the China for Giant salamander study .
Crawler :there are 37 types grawler in total . They are coral ?snake ,Cobra ,Five step snake ,Black brocade snake ,King brocade snake ,Ash rat snake ,Black tip snake , Red shain snake ,Bamboo leaf snake ,water snake ,flat bosom tortoise ,tortoise ,Chinese turtle ,Gecko ,Skink , Lizard etc..
Insect |:there are 15 item ,120 subjects ,1352 types in total .Inside ,the natural enemy insect has 9 item ,14 ection ,71 type in total .
